Australian Standards for Electrical Installations open for comment

The National Office would like to advise members that the AS/NZS 3001.1 and AS/NZS 3001.2 standards are available for the second round of public comment.

ASNZS3001 – Electrical Installations – Connectable electrical installations and supply arrangements, Part 1:Site supplies for connectable electrical installations.
AS/NZS 3001.2 Electrical installations – Connectable electrical installations and supply arrangements, Part 2: Connectable electrical installations Hire Organisations, Manufacturers, Electrical Contractors and Purchasers of Trailered Recreational, Non Recreational Vehicles, Module Buildings, and Equipment are encouraged to review and participate in this second round of public comment.

Some examples of changes that may impact members include changes to conductor sizes in recreational Vehicles, additionally many are unaware that these changes will vary the requirements of AS/NZS3000 Australian Wiring Rules.
