The soaring construction industry has driven the local economy

over the past few years and while it is showing signs of slowing

down, the need for peripheral constructions like retaining walls

and outdoor spaces will continue to grow.

The construction industry’s growth has been fueled by

high demand for housing thanks to rapid urbanisation and

migration. The last year itself saw over 200,000 dwellings up

for construction, based on figures from the Bureau of Statistics.

Detached homes and apartment complexes will continue to

be built across the WA region, which offers opportunities for

companies like WA Stoneworks to tap new markets.

According to Jules Poczwa, founder of WA Stoneworks: “We will

continue to see demand for new homes thanks to low interest

rates, so the construction industry will remain buoyant for the

near future. It is evident construction of dwellings will continue

in the immediate period.”
