Abbotsford branch is almost double the

size of the previous Richmond site and

will allow for future growth plans of the

business to be implemented.

“The move has been in the planning for

12 months,”Andrew said. “Securing the

ideal site in a central location and with

an area large enough to accommodate

expansion were critical factors.

Kennards Hire Lift & Shift is on the move after 10 years

After more than a decade, Kennards Hire Lift & Shift is moving from its Richmond

location to new, larger premises in the nearby suburb of Abbotsford in Melbourne’s

inner east.

“The new location enables Kennards Hire

Lift & Shift to better serve the growing

needs of customers in the Melbourne

metropolitan area and suburbs.

“It also allows for the addition of new,

larger equipment and will play a central

role in providing material handling

solutions for hire.”

Kennards Hire Lift & Shift has a branch in

the south eastern suburb of Dandenong.

The growing range from Kennards Hire

Lift & Shift extends from hydraulic

equipment such as porta power rams up

to 600 tonne and the Durapac SyncMaster

Hydraulic Jacking System, to torque

wrenches up to 35,000Nm, 15 tonne and

30 tonne air skates. Kennards Hire Lift &

Shift has also added 300 tonne modular

spreader beams to its product portfolio.

Chain blocks and winches in pneumatic,

electric and manual operation up to

30 tonne and material hoists are available

as are a range of cable hauling equipment

including Capstan winches to 6.5 tonne

and drum stands that hold up to 20 tonne.

Planning and procurement has already

begun for the 2018 Commonwealth

Games. There are some big contracts to

be won and the HRIA has been talking

with GOLDOC making them aware of the

Commonwealth Games 2018

services members can offer. The HRIA

advises registering on the ICN Gateway

site if interested in working with the

event organisers.
