Texada Software has released
version 9.1 of its Systematic
Rental Management Software.
The new version introduces
the SRM web client option,
which allows SRM software to
be deployed via a variety of
web browsers such as Internet
Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and
Safari on devices supporting
them such as PC’s, Apple Mac’s,
Tablets and Smart phones
without the need to install any
software on these devices.
The SRM Management
Dashboard and Dynamic
Reports product has been
enhanced, with added
functionality and closer
integration to the core product.
With SRM Dashboard,
managers can have key
performance indicators
displayed graphically and
in real time. SRM Dynamic
Reports can be run and
viewed immediately or can be
generated on a scheduled basis
and automatically emailed (in
either Excel or pdf format) to a
distribution list.
SRM 9.1 also brings
functionality for hand-held
devices for hire order pick and
pack and hire return processing.
Recent times have seen
significant increases in the
capability and options provided
by mobile devices and Texada
is developing interfaces and
processes that will allow hire
companies to take advantage
of the expanding capability
offered by these devices.
SRM 9.1 also sees the
expansion of the SRM
integration framework to
include an interface with the
Salesforce CRM system.

HIGH RISK LICENCE
Following a change in legislation in
Queensland and NSW in January 2012
individuals are now required to hold
a high risk licence when transporting
high risk equipment, even though they
may not use this equipment at height.
This means truck drivers are now
required to hold the WH&S / WorkCover
Licence to transport equipment such as
EWPs and forklifts. More information

The modern awards changed on 1 July,
2012 and the HRNet portal on the
HRIA webpage provides a complete up-
to-date view of the changes. This is a
free service for members and the HRIA
advises members to make sure they are
complying and to use the helpline.
FUEL TAX CREDIT
From 1 July, 2012 changes to the
fuel tax credit for rebates have been
effected. All members are advised to
check it out and be aware of changes.
