Kennards opens brand-new purpose-built branch in Ballarat

Kennards Hire has opened its first Victorian purpose-built branch located in Ballarat, complementing its recent expansion into southern regional Victoria. The newly built 2,822m2 branch takes Kennards Hire to 38 locations across Victoria and strongly positions the company to help deliver on the significant transformational capital works programs in the region.

The Ballarat Branch opening follows the recent announcement of Kennards Hire’s 200th branch opening in Morwell following the ProRent and CanDo Hire acquisitions.

Victorian general manager Lance Hawes said he looked forward to supporting the local community as well as the broader region with convenient access to the equipment and expert advice they need to make their job easy.

“Over the years, we’ve had many of our regional customers ask us for more support as they look for quality equipment to help them deliver on their projects, which is why we’re building on our strong momentum over the past few months and further expand our service offering across Victoria,” said Mr Hawes.

“We’re so excited to have opened our first purpose-built branch in the state, which enabled us to design the branch and choose brand new equipment that we knew would be the best fit for our customers.

“As a family owned and operated business, it was important for us to draw from the strong local knowledge of the community as we build our fantastic new team under the capable leadership of branch manager, Andrew Lloyd.”

Joining Andrew are Paul Woodhouse, John Brjozovsky and fellow Ballarat locals, Maddi O’Connor and Len Quirk. With their combined extensive experience in the equipment hire industry, customers can rest assure that they’re in good hands with the Kennards Hire Ballarat team.

As the region sees a significant increase in demand for housing, increased community infrastructure and a strong appetite for more renewable projects, the new branch boasts a broad selection of brand-new core equipment and larger earth moving, compaction, and specialist products to support DIYers, tradies, and large projects alike.

To commemorate the grand opening, Kennards Hire invited a host of local customers and tradies to a celebratory breakfast barbeque on Monday, 20 November. Local radio station Power 103.1FM broadcasted live from the branch bringing in listeners from near and far, with two lucky winners securing Milwaukee worksite speakers.

Kennards Hire Ballarat is located 4km south of Ballarat’s CBD on 1127 Latrobe St.
