HRIA Launches Electrification Inspection & Maintenance Course

Electric-powered plant is no longer a future issue – it’s already in your fleet.

With that shift comes new technical requirements and elevated safety risk – particularly around high-voltage systems, stored energy and isolation.

EWPA and HRIA have partnered with TAFE to deliver a focused, hands-on program built specifically for hire fleet environments.

Inspection and Maintenance of Electric Powered Mobile Plant

Location: Seven Hills NSW

Dates: 29 June – 1 July 2026

Cost: $1,500 + GST

In 3 days, your team will be able to:

• Safely depower and recommission electric plant

• Inspect and maintain battery and high-voltage systems

• Manage real risks – stored energy, isolation failures, fault conditions

• Apply skills immediately on your fleet equipment (e.g. EWPs, Telehandlers, Excavators)

Includes Nationally Recognised Training outcomes for the below units:

• AURETH101 Depower and Reinitialise Battery Electric Vehicles

• AURETH102 Inspect and Maintain Battery Electric Vehicles

This is practical training for technicians working on real fleet equipment – not just classroom theory.

Electrification is moving quickly. The gap between trained and untrained technicians is already visible.
