More than 400 customers, employees and motorsport fans turned out at Coates’ Belmont branch on Thursday July 30th for a Supercars Fan Fest to celebrate the return of Supercars to Perth.
Hosted by six-time Bathurst winner Garth Tander, the event featured Supercars stars Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood (Walkinshaw TWG Racing), Brodie Kostecki and Rylan Gray (Shell V-Power Racing Team), David Reynolds (Team 18), and James Golding and Bailey Sweeny (Blanchard Racing Team), who took part in an exclusive driver Q&A before meeting fans, signing autographs and posing for photos.
Guests also enjoyed racing simulators, giveaways and pizza, creating a festival atmosphere ahead of this weekend’s Perth Super440.
Coates Marketing Manager Vicki James said the strong turnout demonstrated the passion for Supercars in Western Australia.
“We had a massive turnout, with people lining up down the street from 4pm and more than 400 people attending,” Vicki said.
“It was a fabulous event and a fantastic way to bring together our customers, employees and the local community ahead of race weekend.
“A huge thank you to the West BU team, whose support helped make the event such a success.”
The Fan Fest is just one example of how Coates activates its 27-year partnership with Supercars. In 2025, Coates expanded its partnership to become the naming rights sponsor of the Coates Supercars Volunteer Program.
Coates also plays an important role behind the scenes at Supercars events across Australia, supplying equipment including elevated work platforms, generators, lighting towers, amenities and site solutions to support event operations.
“Supercars is a valued partnership for Coates and provides a unique platform to engage with customers, employees and motorsport fans across Australia,” Vicki said.
“Our partnerships with Supercars and Walkinshaw TWG Racing create opportunities to deliver memorable customer experiences and strengthen relationships beyond day-to-day business interactions.”
The excitement continues throughout the Perth Super440 weekend, with customers invited to the track set to enjoy a range of exclusive experiences, including grid walks, pit lane experiences and hot laps.
“Experiences like these allow us to thank our customers for their support while strengthening relationships in a memorable way,” Vicki said.
