26 HIRE AND RENTAL NEWS • EVENTS in FOCUS • NOVEMBER 2017 Neil Littlewood, CEO of Royal Wolf, said as we enter into the age of the ‘pop-up’, the business has diversified its core expertise in shipping containers into creative solutions for mobile retailers. “Some of the products Royal Wolf have added include its 10ft Mini Pop-Up and 20ft Pop-Up Shops, Outdoor Room and Event Kiosks, which are perfect for transforming into cafes, restaurants and shops and are the ultimate space solution for festivals, trade shows and showroom spaces, or as temporary retail venues. “The 10ft Mini Pop-Up and 20ft Pop-Up Shops are perfect for transforming into cafes, bars, canteens, juice and tea bars, small restaurant stalls, a bakery, wine bar or even portable kitchen, as demonstrated on MasterChef’s Pop Up Challenge. “The Outdoor Room is creatively designed with wide glass sliding doors to open up a restaurant or BBQ to the outdoors or a street-view. “The Event Kiosk range provides extra portability for festivals and events with multiple stalls in one place, as seen at the St Kilda Winter Garden Festival." Embracing pop-up culture as the portable becomes indispensable Pop-up shops have come a long way from fun trend, to a mainstay element of the events, hospitality and retail industries. To meet increasing demand, Royal Wolf has expanded its range of innovative, portable solutions as more businesses rely on mobile products. Royal Wolf put its skills to the ultimate challenge when it was approached by Australia’s renovation show, Channel 9’s The Block, to create a custom pop-up cafe for the new season. Royal Wolf engineers constructed an operational cafe by inter-connecting 1 x 20ft and 1 x 10ft container to create an outdoor deck complete with tables and chairs. In the true style of The Block, time was of the essence for Royal Wolf’s engineers, who took the project from concept to design in five days, completing the container modification on-site in front of the camera crew in four days. Royal Wolf containers can be specified to meet portable storage requirements for general purpose, refrigerated or hazardous goods and are available in a variety of sizes and delivered. Royal Wolf offers a ‘Worksite Range’ which includes a selection of shipping containers available as a stock item and provide hoardings and gantries, construction site offices, change rooms, first aid rooms and ablution blocks. The company also has a division focused on the freight sector, providing freight containers for road, rail, removals, bulk commodity, construction and project applications.
