Australia (TMHA) has
established a direct presence
in Tasmania, increasing its
customer support capability
with the opening of the new
TMHA Tasmania branch in
Launceston.
The new branch at Connector
Park, Kings Meadows, offers
the full Toyota Material
Handling range of Toyota, BT
Lift Truck and Raymond forklift
products, as well as Toyota’s
Huski skid-steer loader range.
Toyota forklifts were previously
sold and serviced in Tasmania
by an independent dealer.

The new branch sales manager,
Rob Cornwell, said Tasmania
now has a dedicated Toyota
Material Handling team
to provide pallet handling
solutions, with direct
manufacturer support.
“We’re already operational
with sales and service, including
service vans based in Hobart
and Devonport, plus an area
sales manager Rod Jones, who
is also Hobart based, enhancing
the support of our new
Launceston branch,” he said.

support during his two-year
experience with Cargotec in

Before this position, Gary
worked as a Service Manager

eight years.

Vortex Hire moved in July
from much smaller premises at
Redhead it had outgrown.
According to Vortex Hire’s
Gil Milton, the new branch
provides a central location.
“The new premises are
central for all our Newcastle
customers, also allowing
us quick access to the M1
Motorway for our growing
Sydney/Central Coast customer
base. In addition, the new site
will give us better access to
and better support our mine
dewatering clients in the
Hunter Valley,” Gil said.
“We have larger workshop
and stores facilities allowing
us to support our own fleet in
addition to our existing field
maintenance contracts.
“System flow in the branch
is our biggest winner with
dedicated testing facility and
