Diamond Valley Glass (DVG) in
Melbourne’s northern suburbs recently
took delivery of a Winlet 575 Glass Lifter
from the Aspac Group.
DVG specialises in shopping centre
glazing and according to company director
Gerard Wilson they couldn’t be happier.
We mostly handle large plates of 15-
19
mm toughened glass, which weigh on
average 300-400kg so we were looking
for something to make our jobs more
productive, safer and with less cost,”
Gerard said.
The Winlet is now utilised to replace
hiring a mini crane with operator and
dogman which can cost up to $3000
per day and to replace manual labour,
especially since such large and heavy
panels produce an imminent health and
safety risk.
Now the glass panels can be lifted from
the trolley with the Winlet, rotated and
stood vertically and positioned with ease.
It’s faster, safer and significantly reduces
our costs.”
Operationally, the Winlet’s hydraulic
controls that include side shift, rotate,
Winlet glass lifter a real Diamond
Aspac’s Martin Eade with the Winlet glass lifter
telescope as well as more conventional
raise and lower functions were mastered
by the staff at DVG within a few days,
Gerard said.
