The new generation Bobcat
TL470 7m telescopic handler won
a Special Innovation Award at the
AGROmashEXPO 2012 Agricultural
Exhibition, in Budapest Hungary in
January.
With the 6m TL360 model, the TL470
is part of a new generation of Bobcat
telescopic handlers offering a range
of features and options new to the
Bobcat family of telescopic handlers.
The patented asymmetric cab
structure allows for a spacious work
environment with an all round view of
the work site, including what’s going
on overhead. The rounded form of the
rear window leaves an unobstructed
view across the rear of the machine.
The low position of the boom pivot
point further enhances rear visibility.
The fully integrated electronic
dashboard gives the operator an overview
of the machine’s performance, at the touch
of a button. All controls are designed
for ease of use and positioned in easy
reach. The proportional joystick features

forward-neutral-reverse controls, to select
driving direction with one hand on the
wheel and the other operating the joystick.
Both machines are powered by four
cylinders 75kw (100hp) Perkins diesels, built
into a new engine bay with at hand access
to service items. The hydrostatic
pump has been moved from
under the boom to sit in the
engine bay. The cooling system
has been altered for efficiency.
Integrated pressure-release
quick couplers are mounted on
the boom head and protected
by the boom head overhang,
making changing of hydraulic
attachments fast and easy.
The hydrostatic drive system
with electronic regulation now
provides a machine with forward
speeds up to 40km/h.
A third model in the new
line up is the TL470HF, High
Flow, with all the standard 470
features plus a 190 l/m load
sensing pump coupled to a 97kw
(130hp) Perkins common rail
turbo engine, offering faster single and
combined boom movements.
