EXCAVATION
Terex has released its range of site
dumpers in Australia through CEG
Distributions and its network of Terex
Compact Equipment dealers, including ASV
Sales & Service.
“Often the only equipment available on
a jobsite is an excavator, which has limited
mobility and speed. All wheel drive Terex
site dumpers can go almost anywhere at
speeds of up to nearly 30kms per hour, and
are perfect for limited access applications
that require the moving of bulk material,”
Chris Wolf of national distributor, CEG
Distributions said.
“Simplicity of design and automotive type
controls mean people with even minimal
experience can operate them. For ease of
transportation, all models include a folding
ROPS frame as standard,” Chris said.
Available in three types of skip
configurations, Terex dumpers can tip the
skip forward or 90 degrees to each side of
the machine. They also feature a forward
tipping mechanism designed for accurate
placement of high volume materials. One
and two tonne models can raise the skip to
over 1.5m and tip over obstacles.
Terex site dumpers offer high strength, longevity,
and exceptional service access

“We have models available with
capacities from 3 tonnes up to 10 tonnes.
“Featuring reliable Kubota or Perkins
diesel engines and simple controls, wet disc
brakes and rapid dumping, these units also
feature superb service access from ground
level to facilitate maintenance. Power Tip
and Power Swivel functions allow for either
forward tipping or effective placement of
the load to either side,” Chris said.

The Hitachi mid-size excavator range
incorporates an advanced hydraulic
system and powerful engine, and is
engineered to suit unique attachments
from high performance magnet machines
and long-reach fronts to multi-high lift
booms and log grapples.
Units fitted with super long front
booms and arms increase the range of
functions which can be performed on
site. The long-reach arm is successful in
applications such as dredging operations,
bank maintenance and slope finishing
work. Another example is a telescopic
clamshell attachment used in civil works
involving underground digging and
installation of subways and motorways.
Hitachi’s magnet technology is designed
for high performance scrap and material
handling applications when combined
with the range of mid-size excavators. The
magnet control system provides a strong
magnetic force and speedy release.
