INDUSTRY NEWS

In April, Coates

Hire donated

$25,000 to the

Salvation Army

Doorways of Hope

project; an

initiative on

homelessness,

emergency

accommodation

and substance

addiction, which

aims to provide

greater options

for those at risk

of becoming

homeless.

The $30 million

Doorways of Hope initiative is the largest in the history of the Salvation

Army in WA. It encompasses multiple developments and refurbishments

which will transform the Salvos’ homeless outreach into one of the

nation’s most comprehensive.

For Coates Hire the fundraising got underway at the Coates Hire

Corporate Golf Classic in February through a ‘charity hole’ on the day.

It was a big event on the Coates Hire calendar for customers, staff and

suppliers, with everyone getting behind the Salvation Army to donate.

Later in the evening at the Presentation Dinner, Marcus Geisler,

Executive General Manager of Coates Hire - West, announced he would

increase the value of Coates Hire donation to $25,000.

The HRIA’s newly designed web site featuring expanded member

services, ongoing public access search capabilities and which is now

more easily navigable, has gone live.

Now visually sharper and more user friendly, the HRIA web site

redesign accommodates an expanded range of member services.

“As our membership base grew, additional services for members were

being added to the web site and it was becoming more difficult to

keep like services with like member options,” HRIA National Operations

Manager, James Oxenham said.

“Now all services have been clearly identified and compartmentalised

into relevant industry sections on the new web site, making it easy to

find member services and industry relevant information on the site.”

Search engines will now be available on every page, driving ease

of user access and enabling quick access to information. The HRIA

web site also continues to offer a public domain search engine of all

member hire and rental companies in Australia. This search engine has

been updated to make it more intelligent and capable of recognising

a variety of industry relevant key words. Members can access Member

Services by using dedicated member log in details.

The relaunch coincides with the launch of an HRIA ‘YouTube’ channel

featuring industry related videos. To view these new videos go to:

www.youtube.com; and search ‘HRIA100’.
