The Life Cycle for Canteen WA ride from Lake Brockman to Donnybrook takes place this weekend (May 2-4), with one of the event’s main supporters celebrating 20 years of partnership.
Over nearly three decades, Life Cycle for Canteen WA has raised more than $3 million for Canteen Australia, supporting Australians aged 12–25 facing their own diagnosis or that of a loved one.
Since 2007, Kennards Hire branches in Cannington, Myaree, Balcatta and Rockingham have provided essential equipment, including trailers, portable toilets and lighting, free of charge to support Life Cycle events across WA. While largely unseen, this practical support has played a consistent role in enabling the volunteer-led initiative to focus on what matters most – raising funds for young people impacted by cancer.

“Kennards Hire has been part of that journey for almost 20 years – having reliable, long-term support has been critical to sustaining the event and growing its impact.”
Jake White, Kennards Hire Area Manager said “Life Cycle is built on the dedication of its volunteers and riders, and we’ve always seen our role as facilitating where we can behind the scenes”.
“By providing equipment year after year, it helps reduce event costs so more of the money raised can go directly towards supporting young people who are going through incredibly tough circumstances.”
Across approximately 40 rides, from OnRoad, OffRoad and Kep Track events, a network of volunteers, riders and supporters has come together year after year, backed by long-term partners committed to keeping the wheels turning.
This years’ ride will once again take to the Minda Biddi Trail and provide a powerful reminder of the community spirit that has sustained the initiative for decades and the cause it gets behind.
For Kennards Hire, the milestone continues a long-standing commitment to supporting grassroots initiatives that bring people together and lift up communities.
