ACCESS IN ACTION Marking 1000 machine milestone with a Haulotte The Best New Product of the Year in 2018 – Haulotte’s HA26 RTJ PRO articulated boom – became the 1000th machine in the NSW based Want Access fleet last November, a major milestone for the almost five year old access hire business. The new Haulotte HA26 RTJ PRO articulated boom also became the 100th Haulotte boom lift, and just one of more than 600 Haulotte machines in the overall Want Access fleet, continuing the rental company’s move into the big end of the market. Featuring a dual load basket capacity of 250-350kg and all the latest safety innovations for operators, the Haulotte HA26 RTJ PRO maximises Total Cost of Ownership for the rental company. “Haulotte equipment offers great value for money and is leading our push into the bigger end of the market, extending our reach from 45ft up to 85ft booms,” Want Access Managing Director, Peter Gilmore said. “Our Haulotte fleet now includes every Haulotte machine from the Optimum 8.1 personnel lift up to the new HA26 RTJ PRO articulated boom. We have extended our range to accommodate all our customers’ requirements and our range now features all the Haulotte equipment plus everything from 40-50ft scissors to forklifts and telehandlers which are becoming a larger part of our business,” Peter said. With a total machine investment of $30million, Peter said the company’s significant growth since its inception in 2014 can be attributed to the infrastructure boom in Sydney and NSW. “We have enjoyed working on a real mix of government and private projects, working with a lot of finishing trades who all need access equipment,” Peter said. “Serving these finishing trades means our 19ft EWPs remain our bread and butter,” Peter said. “Good service is all about giving the customer what they want and we are excited to extend our range to better service our customer needs. The Haulotte HA26 RTJ PRO makes this possible by filling the gap in our fleet range.” The HA26 RTJ PRO diesel articulating boom has a working height of 26.4m, platform height of 24.4m, horizontal outreach of 17.5m and up and over clearance of 9.3m. It also features quick, proportional and simultaneous movements and vertical arm rise, which means the basket remains parallel to the wall with a total basket load of 350kg dual capacity. The HA26 RTJ PRO also features Haulotte safety innovations for operators including: Haulotte Activ’ Lighting System for safe loading; Haulotte Activ’ Shield Bar 2.0; Haulotte Activ’Screen (on board diagnostic); and Haulotte Stop Emission System which automatically turns the engine off and on and offers 20% reduced runtime and lower emissions. n Contact: 1300 207 683 or visit: www.haulotte.com.au New compact crane loading deck for smaller construction projects A new compact crane loading deck from East West Engineering is the perfect solution for loading and unloading construction materials on smaller multi-storey construction projects, according to material handling products supplier, East West Engineering owner Ron King. T he new CCLP30 Crane Deck is a 3T cantilevered crane loading platform that safely lifts construction materials and equipment on or off floor levels by crane during construction or demolition. Featuring a 2.8m x 2.26m outboard suitable for up to two pallets and requiring only 2.8m of space inside the building, this lightweight 1.22T platform is designed to suit smaller jobs with limited space and smaller loads. “The growing Australian population has increased the demand for high density living, placing pressure on construction companies to build taller buildings with tighter boundaries,” Ron said. “With cost playing a major role in the decision (and affordability) of every construction project, it is critical to manage productivity to ensure building works are completed in time and on cost. “Better site productivity through more efficient handling of materials, provides time and cost benefits for both labour, equipment hire and project completion,” Ron said. Ron said the CCLP30 Crane Loading Deck is the perfect addition to East West Engineering’s core range of more than 250 products in its growing construction equipment range. “Without a loading platform the only accessible place to bring materials into or out of a building would be the bottom and top floor which requires ramps for workers to push heavy materials between floors. Not only does this cause risk of injury, but is extremely inefficient and unproductive.” “Our new loading deck’s compact, lightweight design will make this platform an affordable solution for every building site.” About East West Engineering East West Engineering has over 35 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of lifting equipment used in construction. The company began in 1974, evolving from its start as a steel fabrication and installation business. During work, a lack of quality engineered and certified lifting equipment resulted in the development of the first of many jib attachments. In response to interest from the industry, East West Engineering was established in 1981 as a specialised design division, designing and developing engineered material handling equipment that improves workplace performance and productivity. Today, East West Engineering’s range includes forklift attachments; crane and overhead lifting; drum handling and storage; waste and storage bins; stillage cages, gas cylinder storage and trolleys; telehandler, tractor and loader attachments. n Contact: 1800 061 998 or visit: www.eastwesteng.com.au/cclp30 The new CCLP30 Crane Deck is a 3T cantilevered crane loading platform that safely lifts construction materials and equipment on or off floor levels by crane Haulotte hands over the 100th Haulotte machine in the Want Access fleet which now has more than 1000 items of equipment P44 ACCESS IN ACTION MAY 2019
