At this year’s ARA Show, Skyjack
featured the 63ft (21.1m) SJ63 AJ – the
company’s largest articulating boom.
A prototype of the boom was unveiled
at The Rental Show 2011 and after testing
and development the company is now
preparing the first units for delivery.
The SJ63 AJ is designed for versatility,
combining a working height of 63ft
(21.1
m), a horizontal reach of 25ft (7.7m),
and an up-and-over clearance of 28ft
(8.4
m). It features a unique open centre
knuckle riser that gives the operator better
visibility, allows below-grade reach and
enables the unit to fold for transport.
Advanced boom geometry allows the
unit to move from ground level to full
height using only the single main boom
control. The SJ63 AJ features the True
Vertical Rise feature, which ensures the
boom arm does not drift when rising.
It also has the proven low maintenance
axle-based 4WD system for optimal job site
access. Other benefits include a 360˚ turret
rotation and zero tail swing, which allow
for work in tight spaces.
Standing alongside the new SJ 63AJ was
a selection of Skyjack’s most popular aerial
work platforms, including the SJ12 and
SJ16 Self Propelled Vertical Mast Lifts; the
SJIII 3219, SJIII 3226, SJIII 4632, SJIII 6826RT
and SJIII 9250RT scissor lifts; and an SJ

The new Genie GS-4069 RT series is
available in 26’, 33’ and 40’ heights, and
offers full drive-height for all models and
excels on uneven and boggy conditions.
The new features on the Genie GS-4069
RT are making this model popular and it is
in high demand on Australian mine sites,”
Brad Lawrence, General Manager of Terex
Aerial Work Platforms in Australia said.
These rough terrain scissor lifts have
increased platform space plus increased
lifting capacity.”
The active oscillating axle is designed so
all wheels remain on the ground to deliver
traction even on undulating surfaces.

capability of 5.3°/4.2° from front to back
and 11.7° side to side. The outriggers can
simultaneously be activated to level the
unit.
The Genie S-85 telescopic boom lift
offers greater horizontal outreach than
any other type of aerial work platform,”
Brad said.
The Genie S-85 can reach a working
height of 27.91m and outreach to 23.32m
as well as the capability to reach below
ground level, to a maximum of 2.90m.
This is a self-propelled diesel driven
telescopic boom with considerable
productivity benefits. This model has a
lift capacity of 227kg with the platform
capable of rotating 160° horizontally. The
Snorkel unveiled the first
in new series of high capacity
rough terrain scissor lifts at
Bauma 2013.
With powerful lift and
drive capabilities, the
Snorkel S4390RT preliminary
specifications include: 13.1m
(43
ft) maximum platform
height; twin 1.3m (51ins)
deck extension providing a
large working area of 1.82m
x 6.60m (6ft x 21ft 8ins); and
a safe working load of 680kg
(1,500
lbs).
Snorkel is also launching
another two new global
products and updating one

The S3970RT is
the third product
in Snorkel’s existing
compact rough terrain
scissor family. Built on
Snorkel’s SRT chassis,
the S3970RT provides
a maximum platform
height of 11.5m (37ft
8
ins) but is only 1.8m
(5
ft 10ins) wide and
3.3
m (10ft 10ins)
long. It is designed for
working in confined
spaces, such as in
between buildings.
Snorkel is also enhancing its range of
low-level access platforms with the S1030E
self-propelled mini-scissor lift. Providing a
3
m (10ft) maximum platform height, the
battery-powered S1030E is still lightweight
enough for almost any floor with load-
bearing restrictions. It can be driven at full
height, delivering increased productivity
and efficiency benefits.
Also in the low-level access sector,
Snorkel has enhanced its popular M1230E
3.6
m (11ft 11ins) platform height self-
propelled mast lift with a 500mm (20ins)
roll-out deck extension which extends
the platform to 1.46m (58ins), providing
additional reach without need to move.

turntable rotation can rotate through 360°
continuously. With the boom extended the
Genie S-85 has a drive speed of 1.1km/h.
With the boom stowed the drive speed is
an impressive 5.4km/h.
The Genie S-85 is a particularly versatile
boom lift offering the dual benefits of
height and outreach. And with its lift
capacity combined with range of motion
it is a very popular model in rigging and
maintenance situations.”
The base unit has a wheelbase of
2.85
m and a width of 2.49m and operates
without extendable axles. With the jib
