H-Line Structures played a pivotal role in
Brisbane’s EKKA celebrations (held 9 - 18
August) installing a permanent structure at
the RNA Showgrounds.
The permanent structure, part of the
$2.9 billion RNA Showgrounds
Regeneration Project, will be used by the
venue as a multipurpose space.
Toowoomba based H-Line Structures is
the official agent for Röder AG, Hoecker UK
and Anchor Inc in the Australasian region.
H-Line Managing Director, Don Love, said
the RNA project was indicative of the depth
of manufacturing innovation available in
the Toowoomba region.
“We’ve installed a permanent 50m x
110m structure at the RNA which equates
to about 6 x 40’ shipping containers of
material. Its sophisticated design has the
features you would expect of a permanent
building and meets all Building Codes of
Australia, wind and fire standards.”
Don said the installation presented a
logistical challenge, with the site positioned
over the Inner City Bypass Tunnel and
construction involving civil and electrical
works (coordinated by Hutchinson Builders).
“The full frame and roof covers were
installed in 10 days ready for all other
trades to complete a full fit out and the
result is an impressive fixed structure. It is
nice to know over 400,000 EKKA patrons
will get a chance to see and experience our
design.
“Importantly, being involved with
projects of this scale demonstrates
companies don’t have to turn to metro
based manufacturers for their projects. Our
structures are of a global standard as seen
through the large scale projects we can
produce on time, to budget and beyond
expectations.”
Don said global demand for Röder

Enhancing the magic of the Ekka
structures is on the rise due
to the speed of installation
for the structures, flexibility
of design and ability to
relocate and transport them
anywhere in the world.
“Röder Structures
supplied by H-Line definitely
tick a lot of boxes when
compared to physical
bricks and mortar type
buildings. Offering flexible
configurations, integrated
flooring and a range of
variable linings and fixtures,
the structures are perfect
for logistical applications
including warehousing, fixed venue
spaces, showrooms, accommodation and
community facilities and multipurpose uses.”

Moreton Hire in new agreement with Riedel
Ian Hoath, National Manager for Events
at Moreton Hire, said the agreement is an
exciting addition to their range.
The Riedel range will be available
on the Moreton Hire website from 1
September, with both Moreton Hire
and Riedel committed to supporting the
partnership through marketing activities
in 2012 and 2013.
Riedel revolutionised simple glassware
when Claus J Riedel designed the first
collection of varietal-specific stemware in
the 1970s. His masterpiece “Sommeliers”
set the precedent for a range of series,
designed specifically to enhance the wine’s
harmony.
