New portable energy range for Australia
Redstar launch ‘Series 2’ Denyo generators
required in construction applications.
Low noise emissions from the galvanised
canopy allows the CP diesel compressors to
be considered when noise level restrictions
are included in job contracts.
CP has a range of generators with a
rated net output of 13kVA up to 100kVA
prime power. With integrated forklift slots
and lifting beam, the CP diesel generator
range is designed for multidrop use in hard
conditions making them ideal for hire use.
They are fitted with reputable Perkins
engines and Leroy-Somer alternators
providing high uptime and worldwide
support. The generators are available with
either a galvanised, centrally reinforced
box enclosure for noise sensitive locations
or an open frame variant. All models are
fitted with a large fuel tank giving each
model high fuel autonomy hence reducing
refuelling stoppages.

selected because the unit will be moved
from site-to-site such as a construction or
rental application.
Series 1 sets are imported from the Denyo
factory to a standard worldwide Denyo
specification. At Redstar’s workshops they
are re-wired to meet Australian standards
and any additional fittings are added or
built to meet specific customer
specifications. These include in house
fabricated bunded bases, protective frames,
fire protection, outlets etc.
Series 2 machines are custom built
ex-factory to meet Australian standards
and are pre-built to Redstar’s specifications.
They will also boast pre fitted outlets
(depending on the size of the set) including
15amp, 32amp and 63amp outlets. Other
features included as standard on the Series
2 are Emergency Stop, 110% bunded base,
rain gutters, three way fuel valves and all
doors are now equipped with auto cut out.
The factory prebuilding of Series 2
machines to Redstar standards will mean
shorter lead times on all generator models
between 13KVA and 150KVA.
Both Series 1 and Series 2 will continue to
be custom built or refitted with additional
items to meet specific customer
specification where required.

Chicago Pneumatic is bringing
its range of diesel powered
portable compressors, generators
and light towers to Australia.
The diesel powered compressors
and generators will be distributed
and serviced solely via dealers;
in Australia this is Atlas Copco
Construction Equipment Australia.
“The main value proposition for
potential dealers will be dealers
will not be competing directly
with the manufacturer for sales
of the same product offering. The
other is having access to a new
range of high quality products
from a well established brand in Australia.
Currently we’re looking to develop dealer
agreements with quality companies. We
have had some interest but we are keen to
hear from other interested parties,” Amit
Bhargava, Product Manager of Chicago
Pneumatic’s Portable Energy division, said.
The portable diesel powered CP
compressors range from 130cfm - 900cfm
with a pressure variant from 7 bar to 21 bar.
Fitted with reputable engine brands such
as Deutz and Cummins, the compressors
are designed for reliability and maximum
uptime. A strong undercarriage and
galvanised canopy provide the robustness
Redstar has introduced the new Series 2
Denyo generators.
Redstar Equipment is the sole distributor
for Denyo generator sets in Australia and as
a result of these strong ties has contributed
Australian features in the new Series 2.
Denyo is one of Japan’s leading
manufacturers of engine-driven generators,
they specialise in the development of
portable power sources for construction
and maintenance applications. Established
in 1948, Denyo has a product range that
includes engine-driven power generators,
engine-driven welders and engine-driven
air compressors, selling in more than 100
countries worldwide.
Denyo generators are fuel efficient,
superior build quality, and extremely
robust making them ideal for rental
fleets, Redstar’s Kevin Ennis said.
Referencing Redstar equipment’s value
model, Denyo generators are built for
the following applications:
Prime fixed: A prime fixed generator
will be used as the sole source of power
but will be fixed in one position or rarely
moved over its life. More than 90% of
the cost of running a diesel generator
is fuel, so the key decision making
criteria for fixed prime generators is fuel
consumption. A machine with a lighter
frame can however be used to save
money as the machine will not be moved
around.
Prime mobile: As with prime fixed, a
prime mobile generator will run in most
cases 24/7. This means fuel consumption
is the key decision making criteria, but
a robust canopy must also be selected
